/nick

Sets or clears your display nickname.

Beta. The nick system is still in beta. See the Nick System module for known limitations.

Usage

/nick <name> [rank]
/nick off
/unnick
  • /nick <name> sets your nickname. It is shown everywhere your name appears: chat, tab list, scoreboard, join and leave messages, private messages, /pay, /tpa, team invites and advancements. The nickname survives reloads and restarts.
  • /nick <name> <rank> lets staff appear as a chosen rank, capped at their own rank. Requires muteessentials.nick.rank and Nick.AllowRankNick.
  • /nick off and /unnick both remove the nickname and return you to your real name.

A nickname is refused if it belongs to a real account, is a rank name (Nick.BlockRankNames), stands on Nick.Blacklist, contains %, or is already worn by another player. muteessentials.nick.bypass lifts these limits.
